Question:
I received an email apparently from Microsoft alerting that there is an update
available for my current installation. It provides details about the update and
how to install it. Is this a real update? I usually update via Windows Update.
Answer:
One thing to always remember is
that Microsoft does not ever send out software updates via email. Installing the
fake update that you've received will install a virus in to your system. Please
just simply delete the email. The way that you've been installing
Windows
Updates is the correct way.
