I have a Gateway P5 2000 w/ Windows 95 that has never been connected to Internet but used as teaching tool for children-
math, language, music. While trying to install a brand new Cd-ROM advanced guitar program, the Cd did not auto-boot as usual, nor could it be installed thru "Run" section format. I was able to uninstall old program. When checking in my computer, specifically D:\ or Cd-ROM drive I am receiving a message-" D:\ Device not Accessible", then "device not ready".
Under help topics provided, only floppy disc and C drive are now showing. How do I reconnect D drive. When running set-up,
it shows it as installed, but there is a battery failure prompt. It has an option to boot anyway and if pressed all programs open and are usable and can be printed. However, nothing put in D drive will run. Please help as my children think it's something I did and they are not happy campers... Thanks,
